about
A song I wrote on a whim, the night before a radio interview early last year, revisiting an older vocal idea as a starting point. I looped the synth and beat, gradually building up the other elements of the core sound as the song progresses.
lyrics
Coast Clear
Say, you were the only one for the mike
Cos we combed the other coast, hoping there'd be another night,
Some say four others found there way, to the border
I urge you to speak up, cooperate it could help you,
While I write home, everyday. Everyday.
There's too much heat all-knowing, standing alone
It an afternoon's ride I'll be your words, when we all meet up,
Day it seems, someone's sheet's caught in the breeze, I know that look
For you and the others, so you know what I've done, where I'm at,
While I write home, everyday. Everyday.
Again it takes about a day, for the suits to mobilise,
By then we should be in the clear,
Save the letters that manage to get through.

amos - guitar, synth, shaker, vocals, live-looping
I'm an Aussie songwriter living in west Japan.
I write using keys, strings, synth, drums, voice and at
times a looper. Genres vary, but tightrope somewhere between jangly punch-rock, multichord mellow and synthy narrative loop-scapes. Take a look, and leave me a comment
